Even though we don’t often get measurable snow in this area, winter can still be tough on the exterior of your Mitsubishi Outlander, Eclipse Cross, or Mirage. You can protect your vehicle by taking certain precautions, starting with making sure to wash off the salt and brine that gets on your car’s body and windshield after a snowstorm. Leaving salt on your vehicle can promote corrosion, damaging the body. You should also pay attention to the glass on your vehicle, particularly the windshield. When you decide to clean that section, make sure you have warmed it up with the defroster and gotten rid of any icy buildup. Otherwise, you can damage your windshield wipers by running the rubber against those frozen deposits. Also, you must replace any damaged wipers to lessen the risk of the metal bar scratching your windshield.
